I really enjoyed reading this article, the 9 Essential Principles for Good Web Design. The article goes over several very important principles—such as spacing, navigation, and usability—that are excellent to keep in mind, especially as young designers. I appreciated how the article was thorough and insightful yet easy to understand from a beginner web designer’s perspective.
One section I enjoyed in particular was Usability. As web designers, we must not forget to think about the end user’s goals and how we can help the user achieve them in the most efficient and pleasing manner. Adhering to standards is also important because we are designing for people who expect things to work a certain way.
